It was given the 6.th place

So - here you have another update. This progresses slowly (it is colored pencil after all), and I really enjoy painting the different textures in the composition. Thank you for looking.

I am very proud to have recieved a Blog award from Vic - be sure to take a look at her beautiful animal artwork.

World of Dogs - update

Here is an update, worked several more hours on it.
The digi-photo is taken in late evening making the colors not quite true to RL.

World of Dogs - update

I finally got a shot in daylight making the colors look much more true to RL - but you will have to accept the distortion then.

I've given the wall more color and started the first doggie

World of dogs - update

Here is an update - I do have a hard time scanning the colors to look like in RL. The reeds are to pink here

World of Dogs

So far my cadillac-drawing is still in the garage.

Instead I have started a drawing in a series that has also been on my mind for a long time. The themetitle is "World of dogs".
I've made several thumbnails, with different breeds.
This one is titled: World of Dogs "Good companion" - Pugs.

You can see I did alter the thumbnail composition a bit, like leaving out the dog at far left.

This is pure colored pencils on Hähnemühle Nostalgie paper. Size approx. 10 x 17.9 inches.

Story behind the picture:
This is a constructed composition, but I want to tell a story about these cute dogs; They are placed inside a livingroom, as they are not a breed that really have a job for humans, but instead another important role as being a wonderful companionship.
